Funeral services for Mr. William Harold "Bill" Smith, age 70, of Sunnyvale, Texas, will be held at
3:00 P.M. Thursday, December 8, 2016 in the Wise Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Arledge Ridge Cemetery south of Bonham on highway 78, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Melvin Pugh will officiate. Mr. Smith passed away on December 3, 2016 in Cass County.
He was born on November 17, 1946 in Dallas, Texas, the son of Orvis Vance Smith and Kate Marie Ham Smith. He was a graduate of Grand Prairie High School and attended the University of Texas in Arlington and the Dallas Baptist College, earning his Major in Business and Associate of Science degrees from Baylor University. He was a member of the Texas National Guard as a paratrooper. He married Linda Minor on December 20, 1991. Mr. Smith was the owner/operator of Legacy Gardens, retiring in 2014. He loved classic cars, and spending time with family and grandchildren. He was also a member of the NRA.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
