Betty Louise Stockton

Funeral services for Betty Louise Bingham Stockton, 82, of Bonham, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Ivanhoe Baptist Church under the direction of Wise Funeral Home in Bonham, TX. Rev. Leo Brooks and Rev. Phillip Mathis will officiate. Burial will follow in Willow Wild Cemetery. Betty passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Clyde Cosper State Veteran's Nursing Home in Bonham.

Betty was born March 16, 1931 in Telephone, Texas, the daughter of Charles Henry Bingham and Trula Belle Hales Bingham. She attended school in Telephone Texas. She married Lonnie Hugh Stockton, Jr. on October 29, 1949 in Plainview, TX and he preceded her in death on January 20, 2008. Betty was a lifetime member of Ivanhoe Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She worked for Bonham Manufacturing, Fannin Manufacturing, and Northeast Medical Center and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, working, reading her bible, going to church and teaching Sunday school. Betty was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Janie Moss, Genova Priddy and Carolyn Ruth Bingham.

The family gives special thanks to the staff in Alzheimer's Unit of Clyde Cosper State Veteran's Nursing Home.

She is survived by

Pallbearers will be Kerry Stockton, Deryl Stockton, D.J. Wells, Travis Payne and Rick Beatty.
