Graveside services for Betty Jean Rich, 79, of Mabank, Texas, will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, July 26, 2014 at Randolph-Lindsey Cemetery under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. David Brackett will officiate. Betty passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Betty was born Nov. 19, 1934 in Randolph, Texas, the daughter of Stephen Edward Taylor and Sarah Alice Jones Taylor. She was a graduate of Randolph High School. She married George Vaughn Redmon who preceded her in death in 1969. Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed quilting and watching the Dallas Mavericks. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Betty is survived by one son, Stephen Vaughn Redmon of Athens, Texas;
two daughters, Peggy Andrews of Mabank, Texas and Sheila Maddux of Trophy Club, Texas; one sister, Jo Ella McCullom of Sherman, Texas; four grandchildren, Ronny, Carrie, Crystal and Dustin; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Ogden, Paul Ogden, Ronny Andrews, Jakob Smith, Dustin Maddux and Sam Mendiola.
