Bernice Marie Hodges

Bernice Marie Hodges passed away on November 19, 2023 in Frisco, TX.

She was born in Bonham, TX to parents, Vernon and Etta Sha Henegar on December 1, 1924. Bernice married the love of her life, Jack Hodges on August 9, 1947 and together they shared 68 years of marriage. Family was at the core of Bernice and she dedicated many years to raising her children. Once they were grown she went on and became a real estate broker. Bernice was an excellent cook and baker. She also enjoyed gardening, canning, playing Bridge, golf, sewing and water aerobics. She was always active in her church home, First United Methodist Church. Bernice will be fondly missed by all who knew her.

Bernice is preceded in death by husband, Jack Hodges, parents, Vernon and Etta Sha Henegar, brothers, Edwin Henegar, Lonnie Henegar, Douglas Henegar and sister, Verna Sha McKelva.

Those left to cherish her memory, children, Debbie (Don) Davis, The Colony, TX, Jim (Marina) Hodges, Montgomery, TX, Sherry Hodges, Frisco, TX, grandchildren, Jamie Achilli, Doby Davis (Nancy), Cody Dollar (Amber), Shayla Dollar, Marissa Hodges (Jorge), Megan Tan, and six great grandchildren.
