Benny Ray Smith

Graveside services for Mr. Benny Ray Smith, age 79, of Dodd City, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Dodd City Cemetery. Chaplain Mark Posey will officiate. Benny passed away on November 20, 2015 at his residence in Dodd City.
Benny was born on September 12, 1936 in Dallas Texas, the son of Clarence Penery Smith and Edna Mae Evans Smith. He attended schools in Dallas and married Jessie Ruth Chandler on March 30, 1973. He was a member of the Texas Air National Guard for 20 years. He was a plumber, and steam fitter in the Garland area, and a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Mr. Smith also enjoyed fishing, hunting, old cars, his tractor, and most of all spending time with his grandkids and great -grandkids. He was a member of the Dodd City Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and one sister

15 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM. until service time on Monday, November 23, 2015.
