Funeral services for Angie Bow Rushing, 38, of Whitewright, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2016 at First Baptist Church in Whitewright under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Hamilton will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Whitewright. Angie passed away early Wednesday morning, June 22, 2016 after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Angie was born Sept. 6, 1977 in Sherman, Texas, the daughter of Rodney Bow and Peggy Crockett Bow. She was a 1996 graduate of Whitewright High School. Angie married John Rushing on Sept. 22, 1996 at the Pilot Grove Baptist Church. She loved being a part of her children's lives and was active with Boy Scouts and the Toyota Trail Riders Offroad Group. A teacher's aide for eleven years at Whitewright ISD, Angie was the Drill Team sponsor for the Whitewright Tigerettes. She enjoyed decorating for the Proms, playing board games, gardening, hiking, and family camping trips. Angie was a member of Pilot Grove Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends. Angie was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, James Crockett, her paternal grandmother, Bettie Bow, an uncle, Michael Bow (KIA in Vietnam), and mother-in-law, Shirley Rushing.
Angie is survived by her Husband, John Rushing, son, Alex Rushing and daughter, Julie Rushing, all of Whitewright, Texas; Parents, Rodney and Peggy Bow of Whitewright, Texas; Paternal Grandfather, O. G. Bow of Greenville, Texas; Maternal Grandmother, Dorzell Crockett of Howe, Texas; Father-in-law, Henry Joe Rushing and wife, Ruby of Luella, Texas; Mother-in-law, Sue Tyson of Pilot Grove, Texas; Aunt, Susie Barnes and husband, Russ of Flower Mound, Texas; Uncle, Pat Bow of Haltom City, Texas; Aunt, Linda Crockett of Plano, Texas; Uncle, Jack Crockett and wife, Vonnie of Whitesboro, Texas; Numerous cousins, extended family, students and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Rushing, Master Chief, US Navy, Dan Rushing, Joseph Tyson, Michael Bow, Parker Bow, Kenny Watson, Don Rhoads and Ryan Chase Stephens.
