Andre Montoya Smith

Funeral services for Andre Montoya Smith, 38, of Bonham, will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Northside Church of Christ, under the direction of Wise Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gates Hill Cemetery. Mr. John Bragg will officiate. Andre passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Texoma Medical Center, in Denison, Texas.

Andre was born July 18, 1976 in Bonham, Texas, the son of Royce Lonell Phea and Carolyn Smith. He graduated from Bonham High School. Andre was of the Christian faith and had attended the Church of Christ. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking grand feasts for his family. Andre took pleasure in outdoor activities; with his father and little brother Royce, the three of them would fly remote control helicopters. He also liked riding motorcycles and ATVs. Andre was full of life; he was always smiling and could make you laugh; his laughter and vibrant personality will be sorely missed. Andre is preceded in death by his mother and son Layfette Smith.

Andre is survived by sons, Aidan, Demetrius, Devontrae and Anthony Smith; daughters, Madison and Aliyah Smith; brothers, Tony Smith and Misty of Oklahoma, Royce Ternell Phea of Bonham, Robert Perry and Adina of Bonham and Layfette Dunlap and Rachelle of Bonham; Aunts, Uncles, extended family, and a host of friends.


The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until service time at Northside Church of Christ.
