Albert Lee Van Kirk

Funeral services for Albert Lee Van Kirk, 72, of Amarillo, Texas, formerly of Fannin County, will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Mike Burt will officiate.  Burial will follow in Sandy Cemetery.  Albert passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022 at his residence.

Albert was born January 13, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Veachel Van Kirk and Joyce Grant Oehrlein.  He attended school in Lubbock and was a meat processor for Tyson.  Albert was a member of the Sandy Baptist Church and attended Victory Church in Amarillo.  He enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles.  Albert was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Audrey Venoy Pelton, Jr. and his former spouse, Anita Combs.

Albert leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters, Shonda Van Kirk, Belinda Klawitter and Deborah Cornett, all of Amarillo, TX; a brother, Red Van Kirk (Linda) of South Carolina; two sisters, Cherryl Rios of Lubbock, TX and Nelda Oehrlein of Snyder, TX; grandchildren, Josh, James Jr., Christian, Kylee, Keri, Trevor, Braxton and Serenity; a great grandson, Logan, and numerous extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from noon till service time, Saturday, February 12, 2022.
