Alan Ray Lenius

Funeral services for Alan Ray Lenius, 73, of Dodd City will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020 in Wise Funeral Home Chapel.  Chaplain Kevin O'Brien will officiate.  A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Shell Rock, Iowa on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM.  Alan passed away Thursday afternoon, Sept. 24, 2020 at Carrus Specialty Hospital in Sherman, Texas.

Alan was born October 2, 1946 in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Raymond R. Lenius and Dorothy Elaine Renning Lenius. He was a graduate of Waverly Shell Rock High School in Shell Rock, Iowa.  Alan was a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed horses and team penning.  He attended the Faith Lutheran Church in Shell Rock.  Alan was preceded in death by his parents.

Alan is survived by three daughters, Ann Chapman (Dusty) of Dodd City, TX, Beth Peoples of Bonham, TX, and Lynn Lenius of Caddo Mills, TX; one son, Martin McKusick of Iowa; a sister, Barb Winegarden of Davenport, IA and eight grandchildren, Meghann Maggret and Dulaney Chapman, Kristen Lenius, Casey Katchinska, Dane Peoples, Mandy Peoples, Amanda Beals and Mitch McKusick; extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Wise Funeral Home from 1:00 PM till service time, Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020.
